What should be used to reconstitute a vial?
Bacteriostatic water is the standard diluent for laboratory reconstitution. Add it slowly against the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently rather than shaking, which can shear the peptide.
How much bacteriostatic water should be used?
There is no single correct volume — the amount of water added determines the concentration of the resulting solution and therefore the volume drawn for any given quantity. What protective equipment is recommended?
Gloves, eye protection and a laboratory coat, with handling carried out on a clean, dedicated surface. Dispose of vials and sharps through your facility’s standard laboratory waste route.
