Products FAQs

What are peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids linked by peptide bonds — the same building blocks that make up proteins, on a smaller scale. In the body they act as signalling molecules, which is why synthetic peptides are widely used in laboratory research to study defined biological pathways.
What purity do Kensington Laboratories peptides meet?
Every peptide we supply is manufactured to ≥99% purity as measured by HPLC, with identity confirmed by mass spectrometry. The figures for your specific batch appear on the certificate of analysis published on this website.
Are your products supplied for human use?
No. All products are supplied strictly for laboratory research use. They are not for human or veterinary consumption, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic use of any kind.
What format do peptides arrive in?
Peptides are supplied as a sterile lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial, which keeps the sequence stable in transit and allows the receiving laboratory to reconstitute at its own working concentration.
Are the peptides pre-mixed and ready to use?
No. All peptides ship in lyophilised powder form so the shelf life of the material stays at its maximum. Bacteriostatic water is required to reconstitute the powder in the laboratory.
Do you supply bacteriostatic water with the peptides?
Bacteriostatic water is not included with a peptide order and is purchased separately. Our 10 ml bacteriostatic mixing water is listed in the catalogue alongside the peptide range.
Can you advise on dosage or protocols of use?
No. Under our research-only terms we cannot provide any dosage guidance, protocols or suggestions of use. Material is supplied for laboratory research, and the purchaser is responsible for how it is used within that research setting.
A peptide is out of stock — when will it return?
Stock levels shown on the site are live, so anything marked out of stock is currently unavailable to ship. Restocks typically arrive within 7 to 10 working days. Where we do not intend to restock a product, it is removed from the catalogue entirely.
