Storage FAQs

How should sealed vials be stored?
Store sealed lyophilised vials at −20 °C or lower for long-term storage, in a sealed container with a desiccant to absorb moisture. Refrigeration at 2–8 °C is suitable for shorter periods. Keep vials away from light.
How should reconstituted peptides be stored?
Once reconstituted, keep the solution refrigerated at 2–8 °C and protected from light, and treat it as a short-lived working stock. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which degrade peptide integrity.
Why should a cold vial reach room temperature before opening?
Lyophilised peptide is hygroscopic. Opening a cold vial lets condensation form on the powder, which starts the degradation that cold storage is there to prevent. Allow around 20 minutes at room temperature before breaking the seal.
