What a batch code represents
A batch — or lot — is all the material produced in a single synthesis and purification run, released together against one set of analytical results. The code is the key that ties a physical vial to that record. Everything downstream, from purity to certificate to any query you raise with us, resolves through it.
How codes are structured
- A compound identifier, abbreviating the peptide name.
- A date element, usually year and month of manufacture.
- A sequential run number distinguishing lots made in the same period.
- Occasionally a suffix for a repackaging or re-release event.
Verifying before work begins
- Read the code from the vial label, not from the outer box or the invoice.
- Compare it character by character with the batch number on the certificate.
- Record it in the experimental log at the point of use.
- If the codes do not match, stop and contact us before opening the vial.
Why single-lot studies matter
Even between well-controlled batches there are small differences in impurity profile, water content and net peptide content. Those differences are usually irrelevant — until a study compares conditions run months apart. Planning quantity at the start so one lot covers the whole study removes the question entirely.
